How to pay with ETH on Ethereum
From your own wallet
- 01Make sure your wallet holds enough ETH for the amount plus the network fee (usually a cent or two).
- 02On the payment page, choose ETH on Ethereum and keep the page open.
- 03In MetaMask (or any Ethereum wallet), tap Send and choose ETH.
- 04Scan the QR code for the address (or copy it), then type the amount from the page yourself.
- 05Type the amount exactly, to the last digit. For most coins the last digits are unique to your order.
- 06Check the first and last 4 characters of the address (Starts with 0x, 42 characters) and that the amount matches to the last digit.
- 07Confirm the transfer.
- 08Keep the page open. It updates itself: “Payment seen” first, then “Paid” after about 7 to 10 minutes.
From an exchange
- 01On the payment page, choose ETH on Ethereum, then press “Paying from an exchange?”. You get an address-only QR code and copy buttons.
- 02In your exchange, open Withdraw (sometimes “Send”) and choose ETH.
- 03For the network, choose ERC20 or Ethereum (not Arbitrum, Base or Optimism). This is the step most mistakes happen in.
- 04Paste the address. Exchanges sometimes ask for a memo or tag: leave it empty, this address doesn’t need one.
- 05For the amount, enter the amount due plus the exchange’s withdrawal fee, so the full amount arrives. The fee helper below does the sum. If the form shows “You will receive”, make that equal the amount due.
- 06Confirm with your 2FA code or email link. Exchanges can hold a withdrawal for a few minutes, sometimes longer for a first withdrawal to a new address.

- Sending ETH on Arbitrum, Base or Optimism. Only Ethereum mainnet counts.
