This page covers Cursor pricing, the ways you can actually pay for it, and alternatives you can buy with crypto.
Cursor changed hands this year: SpaceX completed its purchase of Anysphere, the company behind Cursor, on August 14, 2026. The plans below are the ones on cursor.com on October 7, 2026.

Every plan includes a set amount of model usage. When it runs out, you can keep going with on-demand usage, billed afterwards to your card. The India Start plan has no on-demand usage. Cursor’s own guide puts daily Agent users at about $60 to $100 a month in total, and power users at $200 or more.
How Cursor takes payment
Cursor’s pricing page is direct about it: “Self-serve plans support all major credit and debit cards.” Payments run through Stripe: you click Manage Subscription to open Stripe’s billing portal and update your card there.
| Payment method | Accepted? |
|---|---|
| Credit and debit cards | Yes |
| PayPal | No |
| Crypto (Bitcoin, USDT and others) | No |
| Gift cards or prepaid codes | No, Cursor doesn’t sell any |
| App Store (iPhone) | Yes, monthly plans in the Cursor app |
| Google Play (Android) | Yes, monthly plans through the Grok Bot app |
| UPI | Only for the Start plan in India |
| Invoice or wire transfer | Enterprise only |
Can you pay for Cursor with crypto?
Not directly. A Cursor staff member confirmed on Cursor’s forum in November 2025 that crypto payments “aren’t currently supported”, and a request for USDT in April 2026 closed without an answer. Cursor has no crypto processor, coin list or wallet address.
That leaves three legitimate options.
Subscribe in the iPhone app. The Cursor app for iPhone sells monthly Pro at $25.99, Pro+ at $77.99 and Ultra at $259.99 in the US App Store. Apple is the merchant, and Apple charges your Apple Account balance before your card, though it notes that some subscriptions can’t be paid from balance. In-app plans are monthly only, and any on-demand usage beyond the plan still has to go on a card you add on the web.
Subscribe on Android through Google Play. Cursor sells monthly Pro, Pro+ and Ultra as in-app purchases in the Grok Bot app.
Use a crypto debit card. Cursor’s checkout sees it as an ordinary card. The card issuer will ask for your ID, and the card can be declined for the same reasons as any other card.
What you shouldn’t do is buy a “Cursor Pro account” or key from a marketplace. Cursor’s FAQ says it does “not authorize any resellers or third-party sellers” and that accounts bought elsewhere “may be suspended or terminated at any time.”
Gift cards and paying for someone else
Cursor doesn’t sell gift cards. Asked on its forum in February 2026, a staff member replied: “for the moment we do not offer gift cards.” Any Cursor gift card you see for sale is not an official Cursor product.
If you want to pay for someone else’s Cursor, the official way is a Teams plan. The team owner pays per seat and invites the members.
Alternatives you can pay for with crypto
If the point is an AI that writes and edits code for you, three of the plans we sell come with coding tools of their own, and you can pay for them in USDT, Bitcoin, Monero and other coins:
- Claude Pro and Max include Claude Code, Anthropic’s coding agent. We sell them as official Claude gifts. See Claude Pro vs Max for how the limits work.
- ChatGPT Plus and Pro include Codex, OpenAI’s coding agent. ChatGPT Go vs Plus vs Pro compares the limits.
- SuperGrok includes Grok Build and Grok Bot, and Cursor’s own model pool now runs Grok 4.7, 4.6 and 4.5. A SuperGrok plan doesn’t include Cursor itself. Our Grok pricing guide explains the tiers.
