Notion AI Pricing and How to Pay: Crypto, PayPal and Gift Cards

The facts were checked on October 7, 2026. The main change dates from May 13, 2025, when Notion bundled AI into Business and Enterprise and stopped selling the AI add-on to new customers. In 2026 Notion added a second paid layer: Notion credits, which Custom Agents have used since May 4, 2026.

Notion’s pricing page shows US dollar prices only, including on its UK, German and French versions. Yearly billing saves “up to 20%.” On Free and Plus you get “a limited number of complimentary AI responses” to try the features.
Business AI usage runs under an allowance with a six-hour window and a monthly window, and near the limit “access to some AI features may temporarily pause until your usage refreshes.”
Beyond that allowance, Business and Enterprise workspaces can buy Notion credits. They pay for Custom Agents, Workers, premium AI models and extra Notion AI usage. Monthly credits cost $10 per 1,000 and reset each month. Annual credits cost $13 per 1,000, are paid upfront and expire at renewal. For premium models, “Notion charges tokens at each provider’s published rates, with no markup.”
How Notion takes payment
Notion’s help page says: “On Notion for web, you can pay for your plan with a debit or credit card, or Apple Pay.” Stripe Link works there too, and Stripe processes the payments. You pay per member, per workspace, upfront, and members added mid-cycle are prorated.

If a payment fails, Notion retries it “up to 8 times within the next month.” After that, the workspace is restricted and moved to the Free plan. If your card is refused, our guide to declined cards on AI subscriptions covers the usual causes.
Can you pay for Notion AI with crypto?
No. Notion lists no crypto option, and there’s no coin list or wallet address. These are the honest options.
Subscribe in the iPhone app. The “Notion: Notes, Tasks, AI” app sells Notion Business at $23.99 a month or $239.99 a year in the US App Store, which is the plan that includes Notion AI. It also sells Plus at $11.99 or $119.99, but Plus only has the AI trial. The separate Notion Agents app sells Business at the same prices. Apple is the merchant and charges your Apple Account balance before your card, though it notes that some subscriptions can’t be paid from balance. Apple also handles cancellations and refunds for these plans.
Use a crypto debit card on the web. Cards from crypto exchanges sell your coins at the moment you pay, and Notion sees an ordinary card. They can be declined like any other card, and the card issuer will ask for your ID.
Bring a ChatGPT plan. On Business or Enterprise, members with ChatGPT Plus or Pro can connect it, and “Notion Agent can use your ChatGPT plan instead of your Notion plan” when a GPT model is selected. You still need Business, but ChatGPT Plus is something you can buy here with crypto.
Try Business first. A 30-day Business trial includes Notion AI. It needs a work email domain, not a personal or school one, and it renews automatically if you entered payment details.
What you shouldn’t do is buy “Notion AI accounts” or “gift codes” from resellers. They’re unofficial, and shared or resold accounts break Notion’s terms.
Gift cards and paying for someone else
Notion has no gift cards or gift subscriptions. Its pricing page and billing help pages don’t mention any, and none of the 469 articles in its help center is about gifting. Billing credits on an account come from promotions, can’t be bought and expire six months after they’re issued. Partner offers, such as startup programs, give promo credit or discounts, not gifts you can buy.
The official way to cover someone else is to add them as a member of your Business workspace. You’re billed per member, prorated for the rest of the cycle.
Students and educators get the Plus plan free, for one member, after verifying a school email each year. That doesn’t include full Notion AI, because Plus only has the trial.
If you change your mind, Notion gives a full refund when you downgrade within three days of the invoice on monthly billing, or within 30 days on yearly billing. EU and UK customers get longer legal windows, such as 14 days for monthly plans in the EU.

Is Notion AI included in the Plus plan?

Can I still buy the Notion AI add-on?
