ChatGPT Plus vs Claude Pro vs Google AI Pro: Which $20 Plan Is Worth It?
A plain comparison of ChatGPT Plus, Claude Pro and Google AI Pro in October 2026: prices, usage limits, coding tools, storage and who each plan suits best.
ChatGPT Plus, Claude Pro and Google AI Pro all cost roughly $20 a month, and all three can write, summarize, analyze files and help with code. Pick by what you do most and by which limits you’ll hit first. Which model scores highest this month matters much less.
This comparison uses the US prices and plan details published by OpenAI, Anthropic and Google, checked in October 2026. Model names change every few months, so we compare what the plans include rather than benchmark scores.
The short answer
- Pick ChatGPT Plus if you want one app that does a bit of everything: chat, image creation, voice conversations, deep research and Codex for coding. It’s the safest default.
- Pick Claude Pro if most of your work is writing, editing, analysis or code. Claude Code, Anthropic’s coding agent, comes with the plan.
- Pick Google AI Pro if your work already lives in Gmail, Docs and Drive. Gemini works inside those apps, and the 5 TB of storage alone is worth a fair part of the price.
Side by side
| ChatGPT Plus | Claude Pro | Google AI Pro | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Price | $20 a month | $20 a month, or $17 a month billed yearly | $19.99 a month |
| How limits work | Higher limits than Free. OpenAI doesn’t publish exact caps | Rolling 5-hour sessions plus a weekly limit, at least 5× the Free plan | 4× the Free plan. Moving to 5-hour refreshes with a weekly cap |
| Coding | Codex | Claude Code included | Jules and Antigravity |
| Research | Deep research | Long documents and projects | Deep Research, 1M-token context |
| Images and video | Image creation | No image generation | Limited Veo 3.1 Lite trial, 1,000 Flow credits |
| Extras | Projects, custom GPTs, scheduled tasks, voice | Projects, the same usage pool for chat and Claude Code | Gemini in Gmail and Docs, 5 TB storage |
| Next tier up | Pro 100 ($100), Pro 200 ($200), Pro 500 ($500) | Max 5x ($100), Max 20x ($200) | AI Ultra ($99.99 or $199.99) |
ChatGPT Plus: the all-rounder
ChatGPT is the app most people already know, and Plus removes most of the friction of the free plan. You get the advanced reasoning models, deep research for longer reports, voice conversations, image creation, projects to keep files and chats together, and custom GPTs. Codex, OpenAI’s coding agent, is included with more room than on Free.
The weak spot is predictability. OpenAI no longer publishes fixed message caps for Plus, so you find your limit when you hit it. For most people that’s rare. If it happens every day, look at Pro 100, which has the same features with much more room.
One more thing to know: OpenAI only bills Plus monthly. There’s no yearly price on its site.
Claude Pro: the writer’s and developer’s pick
Claude has a reputation for clear, natural writing and careful work with long documents, and that’s still why most people choose it. Pro also includes Claude Code, which runs in your terminal or editor and can read a codebase, make changes across files and run your tests. On Pro, chat and Claude Code draw from the same usage pool.
Claude’s limits work differently from ChatGPT’s. Usage is counted in rolling 5-hour sessions, with a weekly limit on top. Pro gives you at least five times the Free plan per session. When you run out, you can wait for the window to reset or switch on extra usage billed at API rates. We cover this in detail in Claude Pro vs Max.
Claude doesn’t generate images. If you need pictures, it isn’t the right single subscription.
Google AI Pro: the one that comes with your inbox
Google AI Pro is the Gemini plan bundled into Google One. You get 4× the Free plan’s Gemini usage, Deep Research, a 1-million-token context window for very long files, Gemini inside Gmail and Docs, a limited trial of Veo video generation, and Google’s coding tools. Google’s AI Pro storage is 5 TB, shared across Gmail, Drive and Photos.
That bundle is the main argument for it. If you already pay Google for storage, AI Pro can replace that bill and add Gemini on top. Google is also changing how Gemini limits work in October 2026: usage will refresh every 5 hours up to a weekly cap, and the free plan will only get the lightest model. The change starts on October 9 for free users. Subscribers get an email saying when it applies to them.
The next tier up
All three companies now sell a heavier plan around $100 and another around $200:
| Company | Around $100 | Around $200 | Higher |
|---|---|---|---|
| OpenAI | Pro 100, $100 | Pro 200, $200 | Pro 500, $500 |
| Anthropic | Max 5x, $100 (5× Pro) | Max 20x, $200 (20× Pro) | — |
| AI Ultra, $99.99 (5× AI Pro) | AI Ultra, $199.99 (20× AI Pro) | — |
Don’t start on these. Use the $20 plan for a few weeks and upgrade only once limits are actually getting in your way.
Should you pay for two?
Plenty of people do, and at $40 a month it’s often cheaper than one top-tier plan. Two common pairings:
- Claude Pro and ChatGPT Plus. Claude for writing and code, ChatGPT for images, voice and quick everyday questions.
- Google AI Pro and Claude Pro. Gemini where your email and documents already are, Claude for focused work.
If you only want one, go back to the short answer above and pick by where you spend your time.
Paying for any of them with crypto
None of the three companies takes crypto. You can still pay for all three in USDT, Bitcoin, Monero and other coins through us, and the plan runs on your own account. Claude arrives as an official gift link that works in every country where Claude is available. ChatGPT and Google AI Pro are prepared for your account’s country: the US, UK, Canada, Australia, Germany, France, Spain, Italy or the Netherlands.

Google · GeminiQuestions people ask
Which one is best for coding?
Claude Pro, for most developers, because Claude Code is included and shares the plan’s usage. ChatGPT Plus with Codex is a close alternative. Google AI Pro includes Jules and Antigravity if you prefer Google’s tools.
Which gives the most usage for $20?
There’s no fair way to compare, because each company counts usage differently and OpenAI doesn’t publish caps. In practice, what you do matters more than the plan: long coding sessions and big file uploads use up any of them far faster than everyday chat.
Is the free plan enough?
For occasional questions, yes. The free plans are the first thing companies tighten when demand is high, though. Google, for example, is moving free Gemini users to its lightest model on October 9, 2026.
Can I switch later?
Yes. None of these plans locks you in. On our store every term is a single payment and we never charge you again, so switching is just a matter of buying a different plan next time.
